Responsibilities
Performing complex technical work in processing, maintaining, and control of penal code records.
Reviewing and analyzing complex proposed legislation and advising management on potential impacts.
Making decisions on complex transactions, preparing correspondence, monitoring, tracking, and initiating court commitment Forensic Reports.
Responsible for cross-training and fully processing all duties outlined in all desk procedures.
Reading and interpreting California Penal Code, Welfare and Institution Code, Case Law, and Court Orders.
Interpreting and applying appropriate penal code laws, policies, and procedures.
Conducting research, analyses, development, and implementation of data trending and tracking, various and complex technical analytical assignments.
Working effectively with other stakeholders such as Courts, Attorneys, Conditional Release Programs, Department of Justice, Forensics, Hospital Clinical Staff, and HIMD staff.
Demonstrating excellent writing and communication skills.
Maintaining strong analytical skills and good computer skills.

Permanent civil service status, be reachable on an employment list, have transfer eligibility, or have reinstatement eligibility
Background Investigation clearance prior to being hired
Medical Clearance prior to being hired
Submission of completed STD. 678 application, resume, and Statement of Qualification (SOQ)
Knowledge of California Penal Code, Welfare and Institution Code, Case Law, and Court Orders
Ability to read and interpret California Penal Code, Welfare and Institution Code, Case Law, and Court Orders
