Responsibilities

Processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.

Building secure, scalable, and stable data solutions using data storage technologies, distributed file system, data processing, and business intelligence best practices.

Working with the business to gather requirements, assess gaps, recommend solutions, and build systems and mechanisms to help the analytics-driven organization achieve its goals.

Directing the preparation, cleaning, and processing of data for use in modeling and prototypes.

Identifying gaps and implementing solutions for data security, quality, and automation of processes.

Providing guidance to the maintenance, bug fixes, and performance analysis along the data pipeline.

Performing system analysis, data analysis, or programming, using a variety of computer languages and procedures.

Developing the plans and writing new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses.

Engaging in assigned projects and ad-hoc requests in which a specific business problem is presented and requires investigation and deep data analysis.

Required

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience

Six or more years of relevant work experience

Experience in data engineering tools and technologies

Experience troubleshooting data issues

Experience in complex SQL

Preferred

Master's degree

Certification on data engineering tools and technologies

Experience with large cluster, databases, BI tools, data quality and performance tuning

Working knowledge of scripting languages. Ideally, Python or Perl

Experience working on cloud technologies

Excellent written and spoken communication skills
