Responsibilities
Develop and implement process control plans to ensure consistently high First Pass Yields of manufacturing processes.
Assist in the qualification of new manufactured quality products.
Support and instruct Quality Technicians as required.
Investigate all quality complaints and issues; identify root cause and document corrective action.
Participate as a Material Review member to review and disposition Non-Conforming Material.
Manage and oversee source inspection activities, including the development of inspection procedures.
Conduct audits of supplier quality systems and approve new suppliers, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Conduct internal audits of the quality management systems.
Develop and execute statistical process controls utilizing quality tools and statistical techniques for key manufacturing operations.
Develop and maintain positive relations and effective communication with all functions, departments, and vendors.
Develop and maintain an effective gage control and calibration system.
Support quality goals and objectives, and activities to resolve quality issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor degree in Engineering, prefer Manufacturing or Mechanical or equivalent technical degree
Certified Quality Engineer
Master’s Degree
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in managing quality management system in a medium to large manufacturing environment
Experience in supporting a standards-based or regulatory-based quality system such as ISO 9001
Experience in implementing modern quality management theory including lean manufacturing and 6 sigma, strong data analysis capability
Experience in establishing a modern quality system
Proficient computer skills using Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Experience in metallurgy, machining, forming, welding, assembly, calibration
ASQ Certification
Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Leader Certification
Language Skills – Ability to read, write and speak English
Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply advance mathematical concepts
Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Physical Demands – Physical Activities: Ability to stand, walk and sit. Ability to reach and use arms, hands and fingers. Ability to hear
Weight Limitations – 40 lbs
Vision Requirements – Close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception; and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment – Quite conditions in the office. Moderate noise conditions in manufacturing including ambient temperatures ranging from very cold to very hot
Personal, Protective Equipment - Ability to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and other job related personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
