Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to a distributed engineering team to design new and enhance existing GlossGenius product offerings
Advise the GlossGenius leadership team on key technology and product roadmap considerations
Own problems from end to end, managing complexity, and engaging directly with stakeholders
Work with Product Managers to prioritize roadmap initiatives and be involved in the product ideation process
Continually drive engineering standards forward including code reuse, documentation, testing, etc.
Architect tools, services, and systems using well-accepted design patterns for iterative development and future scaling
Uphold GlossGenius’s high standards for engineering and product quality and mentor newer team members
Act as a technical mentor to the growing engineering team

Required
7+ years of software engineering experience, 3+ years of technical leadership experience
Depth of experience with backend development and distributed systems environments
Excellent product instincts and experience shipping consumer-facing products
Effective communication of complex concepts and coordination across teams
Experience in building a long-term roadmap and technical vision
Architectural and system design expertise in developing highly scalable distributed systems
Thrives in a collaborative environment involving different functions and stakeholders
Continuous learner with a passion for self-improvement
Comfortable picking up new technologies (Ruby, Kotlin, React, React Native)
Preferred
Payments related experience
Experience with building a long-term roadmap and technical vision to tackle complex user problems
Experience with coordinating across teams to ship critical products
