Responsibilities
Understand business requirements, business processes, and data sources.
Design and develop source-to-target mapping to support data transformation processes.
Design highly scalable ETL processes and data transformations.
Design and develop SQL views, procedures, and functions, and help develop reporting data marts.
Serve as a subject matter expert in Structured Query Language (SQL).
Collaborate with business analysts to translate data requirements into logical data models and develop ETL/data integration for data warehouses and data marts.
Responsible for the integrity and quality of data stored in data warehouses, data marts, and business intelligence applications.
Create design specifications, technical documentation, data mapping, and other training documents as needed.
Prepare documents facilitating better understanding across all Natera systems and Data Warehouse, such as data flow diagrams, data models, data lineages, and other illustrations.

Required
BS degree in computer science, comparable program, or equivalent experience
5+ years of overall software development experience, preferably building complex data solutions
Minimum 3 years of experience working with SQL platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Athena, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle) or similar
Experience working in data and data warehouse applications ( Star/Snowflake Schema, OLAP , Data Vault modeling etc.)
Experience with Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) using Talend or similar platform
Experience in manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau or similar
Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to understand complex data structures
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred
Nice to have AWS or other cloud infrastructure experience
Healthcare IT experience is beneficial, but not required
Experience working in regulated environments is a plus
