Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for architecting complex systems with high scalability, performance, and security.

You will partner with other development teams responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions within a distributed computing environment.

You will provide technical leadership to a team of engineers.

You will be responsible for taking the product through architecture and design reviews with senior technical leaders and architects in the company.

Required

10+ years experience in a software development environment

Development experience in Java/Python, object oriented programming and scripting languages

Strong understanding of system concepts (networking, storage, compute)

Experience working with other cloud platform teams and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, security, storage)

Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences

Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment

Good understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms

Preferred

Familiarity and understanding of Chaos Engineering principles

Experience with Jira, Confluence, BitBucket

Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
