Responsibilities

Efficiently manage a vigorous inventory of claims involving various accounts and coverages including construction, auto, general liability, professional liability, and first-party property claims.

Analyze coverage, review and approve TPA coverage letters, draft coverage letters as needed, and manage litigation by interacting with insureds, brokers, defense counsel, and other parties.

Establish timely and appropriate reserves, report claim developments and trends to claims and underwriting management, conduct audits of TPAs, and represent the Company in the resolution of claims and legal proceedings.

Collaborate with underwriting, finance, accounting, actuarial, operations, and technology departments on projects, prepare claim summaries and reports for management, and perform other requested functions.

Required

Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of experience handling construction, auto, general liability, professional liability, and first-party property claims

Experience managing claims with significant exposures

Ability to efficiently manage a large inventory of claims

Strong analytical skills

Experience interacting with insureds, brokers, defense counsel, and other parties

Ability to establish timely and appropriate reserves

Experience conducting audits of TPAs

Experience representing a company in the resolution of claims and legal proceedings

Excellent communication skills

Ability to collaborate with various departments within the company

Strong reporting skills
