Responsibilities

EDR Cyber Security Engineer will deploy, configure, and manage EDR solutions to protect endpoint devices across the organization

Monitor EDR systems for security alerts and incidents, analyze data, and respond to threats in a timely manner

Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks

Investigate security incidents and conduct root cause analysis to determine the extent and impact of the threat

Develop and implement incident response playbooks and procedures

Collaborate with IT and Security teams to improve endpoint security posture and implement security best practices

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends in endpoint security

Generate reports on security incidents, threat trends, and EDR system performance

Provide guidance and training to IT staff and end-users on endpoint security practices

Assist in compliance and audit activities related to endpoint security

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

3-5 years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on endpoint security and EDR solutions

Experience with EDR tools such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne, or similar

Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques

Proficiency in analyzing security alerts, logs, and forensic data

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and threat hunting

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH))

Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools

Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
