Responsibilities

Guide 1-2 teams on agile/scrum principles and practices

Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments

Build a trusting and safe team environment

Hold team(s) accountable to their commitments in delivery

Help develop a self-organizing team

Assess the maturity of the scrum team(s) and coach the team to higher levels of maturity

Assist with internal and external communication with the goal of improving transparency

Support the Product Owner with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog

Organize and facilitate ceremonies, recommend and execute on improvement opportunities to optimize velocity while mitigating risk

Track and communicate the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders

Protect the team(s) from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on Scrum Team priorities

Required

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Scrum Master certification (CSM, A-CSM or SAFe SM) is preferred

3+ years’ software product or application development, business analysis, project management or functional business experience or prior Scrum Master experience

Experience working on a Scrum team or performing as a scrum master utilizing agile methodologies or agile team coaching experience a plus

Experience with facilitating communication/collaboration for cross-functional teams

In-depth knowledge / expertise in domain / field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas

Knowledge or training in agile theory, methodology, techniques, rules, and practices, estimating/sizing, planning, reporting, conflict resolution and facilitation

Preferred

Scrum Master certification (CSM, A-CSM or SAFe SM)
