Responsibilities

Be the technical leader of teams designing and developing world class backend applications that power the business

Promote the adoption of new technologies that advance and evolve the product

Tackle challenges of scale through solid engineering practices and creative problem solving

Ensure products are resilient and meet well-defined service level agreements with client stakeholders

Lead code reviews and help maintain high standards of code quality

Exceed quality expectations through a strong test-minded approach at every step of the SDLC

Monitor applications and resolve issues and SLA violations quickly and efficiently

Required

Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

10 years of experience in professional software development

Expert at building webscale applications

Expert in a high level language such as Golang, C# or Java

Expert in Databases and Data Modeling

Expert in API design and standards

Proficient and open-minded communicator (over email, in person, via carrier pigeon!)

Proficient in agile work processes—you’re comfortable breaking down large pieces of work to deliver value incrementally

Proficient in unit, integration, load, and other forms of application testing

Proficient in system & process documentation

Demonstrated ability to deliver software projects with a high level of autonomy

You are not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Preferred

Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure

Familiar with GoLang

Familiar with web and mobile native application (iOS, Android) development
