Responsibilities
Assist Inspectors in inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems according to NFPA codes.
Develop knowledge of life safety, NFPA codes, fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and fire suppression systems.
Perform testing and maintenance under direct supervision.
Complete on-the-job training documentation weekly.
Differentiate between inspection deficiencies and required service.
Follow safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Attend training sessions to stay updated on technology and testing approaches.
Begin NICET exam cycle application and preparation within specified timeframe.
Pass NICET Level II certification in Inspection Testing & Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems.
Perform other assigned duties.

Required
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
0-2 years of experience inspecting fire protection systems preferred.
Must be able to work alone and as part of a team.
Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, customer service skills, decision-making skills, ability to multitask, ability to meet project schedules, ability to plan and organize, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train others is required.
Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
Ability to operate a computer and tablet is required.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
Must be able to comply with SFS’s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
Preferred
Experience with Sales Force and ERP systems preferred.
