Responsibilities

Provide cybersecurity and architecture expertise for a modern cloud computing environment.

Build new cloud-based environments for DoD cloud initiatives.

Guide legacy systems migration to a modern platform and assisting with the adoption.

Design enterprise and systems security throughout the development life cycle; translate technology and environmental conditions into security designs and processes.

Design and develop security requirements that mitigates risk while maintaining operational capability.

Verify architecture against program requirements and goals. This includes participating in technical discussions, trade studies and working groups, and conducting research on industry best practices for potential implementation.

Interface with program managers to explain security goals and mitigations relative to their priorities of cost and schedule.

Required

6+ years' of related technical implementation experience.

In-depth knowledge of cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)

Technical expertise in securing virtual private clouds (VPCs), encrypting data at rest/in transit, securely onboarding external interfaces, and hardening/building applications/containers within a cloud environment

Firm understanding of modern processes and frameworks (DevSecOps, CI/CD, Zero Trust, etc.)

Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data.

Demonstrated history finding unique mitigations to varied systems’ security challenges.

Strong research skills and a desire to learn new (emerging OR existing but unfamiliar) technologies.

Strong communication skills, written and oral.

Able to travel ~25% of time for program meetings.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

Cloud Certification (CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc)

Current TS (SCI & SAP eligibility required); an active TS/SCI clearance is desired. Subject to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
