Responsibilities

Develop flight test plans for the systems engineering verification and validation process.
Plan testing programs to account for development cycles and project deadlines.
Maintain the fleet of Autonodyne flight test vehicles.
Effectively record flight test results in an organized and meaningful manner and convey flight test results with the development team.
Support flight demonstrations when needed.
Analyze and understand flight test data.
Troubleshoot UAS systems before, during and after testing efforts.

Required

US Citizenship required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Systems or Aerospace Engineering or related field
2+ years of experience as a flight test engineer
Has an active part 107-license
Experience in UAS/UAV/Unmanned Systems
Experience with vehicles that utilize Mavlink
Thrives in a team-driven environment and can follow or lead based on situational requirements
Experience leading a team to solve complex engineering problems
Capable of working in high-pressure scenarios
Highly organized and strives to keep both themselves and their team organized
Able to make difficult decisions when presented with conflicting priorities
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred

Master's degree Aerospace / UAS Engineering
Formal education in flight test practices
A high degree of RC experience is preferred but not required if the applicant has other relevant UAS flight testing experience
Experience working for or with DOD entities
Strong understanding of Blue-UAS/NDAA compliant systems
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Strongly prefer domicile near the Boston/Cambridge metro area but will consider non-local domicile – relocation to Boston area part of compensation package, if necessary
Security clearance (active or previous) or the ability to be granted one desired
