Responsibilities

Develop internal data products by finding opportunities and building such products.

Construct foundational analytics tables with a canonical schema that power a majority of the analytics use cases.

Build an outstanding self-service platform for sophisticated analytics and ML use cases.

Lead cross-functional projects, applying sophisticated data modeling and analysis techniques.

Build and maintain data models, consolidate data across systems, automate data systems, and dashboards.

Innovate on next-generation ML and AI platforms by leveraging existing data.

Evaluate and implement new open-source and cloud-native tools and technologies as needed.

Required

BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related technical field

5+ years leading data science/analytics engineering teams and drawing insights from data

Consistent track record of delivering high quality data products at scale

Must be a self-starter i.e. find opportunities, build a case and deliver.

Must have experience with big data analytics tools such as Hadoop, Spark, SQL, Superset, Notebooks, Dbt etc

Must have good coding/scripting skills (Java or Python ).

Good storytelling abilities using data visualization tools( like Superset, Light dash, Looker etc.) that provide actionable insights.

Public cloud experience(AWS/GCP). Experience with Infrastructure Automation.

Ability to work with less supervision - must be able to chart their own course by daring goal setting, priorities, roadmap and vision.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
