Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of custom automation systems, including concept generation, detailed design, prototyping, and testing phases.
Apply advanced knowledge of software engineering principles to derive favorable outcomes to develop robust and efficient solutions to our client’s needs.
Select appropriate materials, components, and technologies to meet project requirements, considering factors such as performance, cost, and desirability.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of software components.
Lead the fabrication of prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate design performance, identify potential issues, and iterate on design improvements.
Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including technical specifications, trends and analysis to support deviations, changes or improvements of originally planned activities.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in automation engineering, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization.
Report on project statuses and developments to senior team members.
Recommend and follow best practices.
Maintain and safeguard Common Access Card (CAC) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Design, model, and test software for client approval.
Conduct research and create design proposals for projects. Establish design briefs.
Create concepts, performance, and production criteria. Identify and select best practices needed for end user validation.
Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing.
Present design work to the design team, product team, and executives for review and feedback.
Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards.
Work with a defined Design System; applying to your designs and extending the system with consistent improvements.
Produce final reports, drawings, and specifications.
Negotiate appropriate production processes.
Improve usability of an item.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) to design concepts.
Support the full software development lifecycle.
Perform analysis of software requirements.
Define and organize projects on an ongoing basis.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain .NET applications and SQL databases.
Ensure uninterrupted day-to-day operations.
Identify and handle technical risks and issues.
Triage support for operational issues.
Troubleshoot operational and development issues.
Support upgrades, patches, and migrations.
Create and update required documentation.
Manage code, database, script, and documentation baselines.

User ResearchC# / .NET DevelopmentDoDFederal Projects SupportDoD Tier-3 / NACLC Background Investigation

Required

Bachelor's Degree, or global equivalent, in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in user research.
Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience developing C# / .NET solutions with at least 2 years of experience supporting DoD or Federal projects.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Tier-3 / National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC) background investigation in accordance with DODI 5200.02-DoD Personnel Security Program (PSP).
