Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize the company's data warehouse solution to ensure data accuracy, integrity, accessibility, security, compliance, & performance.

Design, develop, and implement Power BI reports, datasets, and dashboards to support business decision-making processes, focusing on commissions and financial reconciliation.

Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance and strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data warehousing and reporting solutions.

Ensure data consistency and accuracy by conducting regular audits and validations of data sources, data harvesting, data processing, and reporting.

Work closely with the finance team to streamline and optimize the P&L reconciliation process between QuickBooks Enterprise and AT&T sales data.

Provide ongoing support and training to end-users to maximize the effectiveness and adoption of BI tools and reports.

Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse and reporting system performance, identifying, and resolving issues promptly.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data analytics, especially leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine-Learning capabilities.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience with over 10 years in a similar or higher role.

Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in a mid-sized to large-sized business with over 500 employees.

Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.

Proficient in creating and optimizing database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.

Skilled in Microsoft Power BI for report, dataset, and dashboard development.

Capable of implementing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations and data manipulation in Power BI.

Experience in developing ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading into data warehouses, databases, or spreadsheets.

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes, with experience in QuickBooks Enterprise and/or AT&T OPUS POS highly desirable.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights; AI analytical experience preferred.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in documenting database structures, ETL processes, Power BI reports, and other technical details.

Preferred

Experience working with a major wireless phone carrier, particularly in retail.

Skillfulness with Microsoft Excel

Additional IT acumen related to coding languages such as Python, developing & working with SSIS Packages, and developing/working with API connections (e.g. Postman).
