Responsibilities

Reasonable and predictable attendance is essential.

Perform general repairs and maintenance including replacing glass, defective locks, and defective electrical fixtures.

Maintain lawn, trees, and flowers, apply fertilizers and insecticides, and ensure proper watering of grounds.

Perform carpentry, painting, furniture, and small equipment repair.

Monitor work performed by outside contractors and security company personnel.

Advise Supervisor of any problems.

Required

Broad shop background in general maintenance and carpentry equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship training

5-6 years of experience

Considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, overhead stretching, lifting heavy objects, crouching, or crawling in restricted areas

Valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record

Must maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures

Use integrity and discretion in safeguarding confidential data handled or obtained in the normal performance of duties
