Responsibilities
Develop engineering standard drawings and design requirements for transmission lines: The Substation and Transmission Engineering Standards team is also responsible for developing training for design engineers and partner groups in Electric Transmission and Electric Distribution, as well as engaging with industry in forums, and events (IEEE, SEE, CIGRE, etc.)
Collaborate with client and Brooksource on mentoring a junior-level team of 2-3 as they train and technically upskill to learn standards and design, as well as other skillsets like PLSCAD, overhead and underground design, substation equipment to name a few.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related field preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
5-15 years of Electrical engineering experience.
Experience and understanding of designing substations and transmission lines.
Familiarity with Transmission System Operations.
Substation and ET Line Standards
Strong communication
Preferred
PLSCADD
Understands functions of substation components.
Understands the protection practices for transmission lines, distribution feeders, and substation equipment.
MicroStation
Overhead or Underground ET Line Experience
AutoCAD, ETAP, or Autodesk
NERC Standards Understanding
Experience working with vendors.
