Responsibilities

Write application UI and backend code

Develop reusable components

Write database queries and stored procedures

Consult with technical team, SQA and business analysts on aspects of functional specifications

Identify and resolve application issues and bugs

Produce quality code within a reasonable timeline

Participation in design review and code review

Provide assessments of task duration, complexity, progress, and risk to team leads

Software configuration and build management

Conduct unit testing

Provide system documentation

Required

Software development experience in Java and Oracle SQL

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

7+ years of application development experience overall

Onsite position in Quincy, MA location

Creative thinkers motivated by challenging problems

Desire to work within a collaborative, team-driven environment

Technological curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and development

Advanced experience with JAVA development

Proficient in Java, J2EE, Servlet, and JDBC

Experience with Spring Boot and REST Web Services

Proficient with Oracle DB and SQL

Experience with code repositories and code management (Git, SVN, etc.)

Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong ability to review and understand complex concepts at a detailed level

Ability to multi-task and take initiative when needed

Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting

Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with all partners in the Software Development Lifecycle such as business and quality assurance

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 7 years of professional software experience

Preferred

Experience with API development

Experience with Agile

Experience with MQ

Cloud-based development experience

Experience in the Financial Asset Custody Services Industry
