Responsibilities

Create features exposing and leveraging capabilities on underlying database engines.

Provide platform API to manage large data volume and record life cycles while keeping the database healthy and performing.

Work on performance, reliability, and scalability of backend storage systems.

Mentor team members in necessary skills to become successful contributors.

Complete complex projects successfully.

Learn new technologies and solve problems at scale.

Required

4+ years of software development experience

Experienced in writing Java code

Experience in unit and integration test automation

Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, MySQL

Preferred

Experience with concurrency issues

Good knowledge of java internals

Good knowledge of database internals

Experience programmatically handling large data volume on relational database

Good understanding of a DevOps environment

Solid background in java backend programming solving problems at scale

Experience with Ruby or Go
