Responsibilities

Perform Government oversight of contractor engineering tasks.

Manage the development, test, and deployment activities of Navy enterprise and DoD integrated network environment architectures, hardware, and software.

Provide oversight of contractor-developed network, application, and cyber security solutions to ensure they meet specified requirements and business needs while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, & availability.

Manage and lead the transition and/or merging of enterprise local and wide area network infrastructures and associated system integration process.

Required

Knowledge of Enterprise level networking; deployment and network operations

Knowledge of and skill in designing, developing, configuring, integrating and managing hardware and software solutions

Knowledge of and skill in using firewalls, Proxy, Terminal Services, File and Print, virtualization technology

Skill in hardening hardware and software to meet security requirements

Skill in installing, configuring, and maintaining networking equipment (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Bluecoat, etc.)

Ability to multitask, work effectively in a team environment, and communicate complex network & security issues effectively both in written and orally

Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS (35% or greater)

In-depth knowledge of Advanced Information Technology best practices, Cisco Routing and Switching, Cisco Command Prompts, and various Cisco or other Networking Hardware

Knowledge of routing protocols including OSPF and BGP

Knowledge of layer two protocols including Spanning-Tree

Knowledge of IPSec with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain tunnels

Must be a US Citizen

Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET Security Clearance

Preferred

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
