Responsibilities

Identify one hundred percent (100%) of Bariatric patients for inclusion in the data registry.

Collect pre-operative, intra-operative, 30-day post-operative, and long-term follow-up data components for the program.

Identify streamlining and process improvement opportunities in the data collection process.

Demonstrate appropriate utilization of resources necessary to obtain valid, reliable data for entry into the Program.

Ensure accurate and timely entry of data into the Program's database.

Establish effective working relationships with members of the Hospital community.

Serve as educational resources on the Bariatric Data Registry Platform for internal and external audiences.

Utilize software applications for data collection and analysis.

Review and analyze the data provided by MBSCR on a monthly basis and prepare written reports for the Medical Director.

Successfully complete the MBSCR online Training program.

Supervise support clerical staff.

Review, track, and prepare budgets; maintain records and databases.

Coordinate space and office organization; purchase and manage supplies and equipment.

Coordinate office and/or departmental operations.

Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorization for medical/surgical/radiology procedures.

Required

Knowledge of database reporting and other statistical computer software programs for compiling outcomes

A college degree or at least one year of experience with data management is preferred
