Responsibilities

Query and aggregate data sets for use in threshold reporting, projections, and analytics for new business and re-underwriting.

Assist with data analysis and ad hoc data requests from market leadership.

Manage data quality to ensure accuracy in reporting, projection, and analytic efforts.

Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) through dashboarding and reporting.

Identify and clarify data quality pain points and opportunities for improvements.

Understand the differences between mod and legacy data structures.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Required

Strong P&C business and data knowledge and willingness to learn.

Ability to extract, aggregate, validate and interpret premium and loss metrics.

Ability to effectively utilize business intelligence data systems, models, financial/statistical resources, and analytical software applications in the creation of reports, charts, and visuals.

Ability to summarize metrics for reporting and identify corrective actions.

Proficient in BI Tooling (i.e., Power BI, Qlik, QuickSight).

Advanced skills within the Microsoft suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

May apply specialized knowledge of research/statistical techniques.

Establishes positive relationships across teams and departments.

Proficiency in SQL and Python strongly preferred.

Bachelor's degree

3.5+ GPA

At least 3 years of experience at a P&C Insurance Company preferred
