Responsibilities

Partner with MT Strategic Customer Group Account Management and Deal Desk team members to proactively support and influence contracting needs for top customer segment.
Direct and manage commercial contract terms and conditions negotiation.
Support and help prioritize and manage workload queue.
Draft, review, and negotiate terms and conditions in commercial contract documents, and participate in customer calls as necessary.
Facilitate internal contract approval and stakeholder negotiation to resolve complex issues and assist in disputes.
Develop and maintain positive business partnering relationships with Legal, Offer Development, Health Care Compliance, and Field Sales Organization.
Support the design and implementation of systems, processes, and controls to track and manage the contracting process.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal partners to ensure actions taken reflect terms of contracts and agreements.
Provide mentorship and training to Contract Management team members and business partners.
Ensure conformity to business needs, accurate risk allocation, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Resolve discrepancies or gaps in pricing approvals.
Implement price changes resulting from contract maintenance activity.
Generate contract price files, maintenance on contracts, creation of member-add letters, and draft amendments.
Develop and maintain contract templates in contracting systems.
Write and/or maintain assigned standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Provide timely response to internal and external audit requests.
Update and maintain Contract Management SharePoint drives.
Other projects or assignments as directed by Management.

Required

A minimum of a BS/BA is required. A degree in Business, Finance, or Sales & Marketing is preferred. MBA preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Contracting & Pricing or related business experience within J&J, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or legal field.
Location: Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; West Chester, PA; Warsaw, IN; Cincinnati, OH; Irvine, CA.
Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to self-manage in a sophisticated, deadline-driven environment is required.
Capable of drafting complex contract terms and conditions, attention to detail, reviewing contracts for conformity to policies, identifying and assessing risks, with the drive to understand JJMD products and offering, strategies, and business objectives is required.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, influence all levels of the organization, a willingness to take prudent risks, and indirectly manage cross-functional teams is required.
Excellent communication skills, including giving presentations to executive leadership, building and maintaining relationships at all levels in the organization is required.
Strong level of ownership and drive for meeting/exceeding expectations is required.
Ability to work independently and complete all business projects according to agreed-upon timelines is required.
Ability to drive adherence to protocols and business rules is required.
Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and build support across a complex set of collaborators, including the ability to influence and align complex groups of collaborators towards overall business objectives is required.
Ability to form strong, trust-based relationships with CPLG, Account Management, Franchises, Offer Development, and Contract Strategy is required.
Proficiency in MS Word, including track changes and document compare, is required.

Preferred

Experience with and a demonstrated ability to work within a matrix commercial organization, including field sales teams, contracting, and financial profitability is preferred.
Deep experience with the JJMT Contracting systems and support tools is preferred.
May require up to 10% domestic or international travel.
