Responsibilities
Own the release roadmap for the Core SW, working directly with stakeholders to deliver functionality that creates the most business value.
Manage cross-functional initiatives, including customer programs or major internal projects requiring contributions from multiple teams.
Manage a team of 7-10 software engineers, including performance management, hiring, and coaching.
Nurture a high-performance software engineering culture, bringing in best practices and balancing urgency with quality.
Contribute technically to the team’s projects through design reviews, system architecture, and direct code contributions.

Required
3+ years experience in people management of software engineering teams
Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work with diverse teams distributed globally and build strong relationships with your peers and partners.
Strong emphasis on reliable execution. Comfortable defining and adjusting goals, and ability to lead complex projects and deliver reliably even when facing significant challenges.
Strong software engineering and design skills in Python and/or C++.
Deep experience with software engineering practices such as version control, release management, CI/CD, and testing practices; and good judgment to know how to balance rigor vs speed to deliver the most business value in a startup environment
Eagerness to challenge yourself, learn new skills, and adapt as the company grows.
Preferred
Deep C++ experience with embedded programming and/or systems programming (eg kernel or device driver development)
Experience working with sensors and real-time high-performance compute pipelines such as edge AI or image processing
Experience with automotive software development practices such as A-SPICE, ISO 26262, MISRA, etc
