Responsibilities

Develops design in accordance with applicable design guidelines.

Develops calculations, specifications, quantities of materials and cost estimates as part of the project team.

Produces drawings and specifications within specific tasks that meet the scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements and satisfies all federal, state, and local requirements.

Reviews shop drawings to determine conformance with the contract documents.

May provide direction to and supervision for technicians, designers and less-experienced engineers.

Communicates with clients on behalf of the project team under supervision of project manager.

Attends client meetings and participates under direct supervision of project manager.

Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and lead tasks.

Required

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering

Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification required with the ability to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) license within one year

4 or more years of direct work experience in civil engineering

Specialized experience in advanced software applications preferred (structural, seismic, stability analysis, AutoCAD Civil3D, etc.)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Proficiency with CADD design software

Expertise with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Some experience with management of small work groups and project tasks

Preferred

M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience with project proposals and presentations preferred
