Responsibilities

Perform audio validation activities during the development stage of audio products and sustaining programs.

Utilize sophisticated audio measurement equipment to validate system audio performance.

Create test plans and execute test cases according to the test plan.

Listen to devices, utilize internal bug management system for defect reporting, and work with teams to triage and resolve audio-related system bugs.

Required

At least 1+ years of QA experience in a similar role

Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

Basic technical skills such as navigating a Linux-like OS via command-line / Terminal

Knowledge of at least one C-like programming language

Strong intuition and understanding of debugging and troubleshooting best practices (e.g. how to isolate a defect? regression testing)

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred

Experience with programming languages such as Java or C/C++

Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles (requirements, specifications, verification, validation)

Fundamental understanding of QA principles and good practices (regression testing, functional testing, stress vs. load testing)

Understanding of Audio products and usage of tools to verify the audio features

Experience on Linux command-line (bash scripting) and familiarity with Linux or Linux-kind of operating systems

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills (Debug and localize the problem, Cross validate problem with firmware/Hardware/versions & provide traceability)

Candidate should have structured communication (writing emails with details of the problem, scenario when and how it's observed, different configurations based problems, situation and reason of failure), and well-organized testing & reporting both email/verbal

Development experience with programming languages such as Python or Java or C/C++

Fundamental understanding of audio signal processing and audio measurement tools

1+ years of tech-industry experience in a similar role
