Responsibilities
Lead the development and optimization of CMP and backgrind processes for semiconductor manufacturing.
Design experiments, analyze data, and propose improvements to enhance process performance, yield, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes into production.
Transfer developed processes from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and robustness.
Provide technical expertise and support during the installation, qualification, and validation of CMP and backgrind equipment and processes.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation including process specifications, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through innovation and advanced methodologies.
Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize CMP and backgrind processes in alignment with company goals and objectives.
Proactively monitor key process parameters and performance metrics, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in CMP and backgrind processes.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the engineering team.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and quality requirements.
Lead investigations into process deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues.
Travel (including internationally) as needed.
Qualification

Required
BS Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Material Engineering, or Physics or the equivalent in education; advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.) preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, with a focus on CMP and backgrind processes.
In-depth knowledge of CMP equipment, consumables, and materials, as well as backgrind equipment and techniques.
Familiarity with industry-specific standards, including ISO, SEMI, and ESD.
Expertise in advanced process modeling, simulation, and statistical analysis.

Excellent communication and project management skills.
