Responsibilities
Assist the Erosion Control Lead in erosion control design and plan preparation for transportation and utility projects.
Provide field support for erosion control on construction sites during various stages of construction.

Required
Bachelor's degree
Previous experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Hands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
MS Office knowledge
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Soil Sciences or similar field
Ability to work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
Self-motivated to complete tasks and learn new skills
Ability to work in the office to allow for collaboration
Ability to work on active construction sites
NCDOT Level III Designer of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
Experience working on construction sites for contractors or in construction-oversight
Operating knowledge of CADD
Design-Build project experience
