Responsibilities

Support Traveling Wave Tube and Electronic Power Converter applications for Space and Air-Sea-Ground applications.

Focus on laboratory testing of products including microscopy, SEM, Xray, XPS, DSC, XRF, and mechanical testing.

Work on electronic materials such as PWBs, Welding (Laser, TIG, and Resistance), Brazing, Soldering, Adhesives, Machining, Furnace work, and Metallizing.

Interface with outside suppliers, coordinate process qualifications, troubleshoot process problems, write specifications and procedures, and train operators on processing techniques.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant engineering experience in a production environment or experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

Knowledge of engineering materials, as it pertains to a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with materials laboratory equipment and test plans.

Ability to create Materials & Processes engineering documents, such as procurement specifications and assembly instructions.

Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work in a fast-moving environment under tight schedules and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.

Must be able to perform technical problem-solving and work closely with production personnel.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
