Associate Operations Specialist

Responsibilities
Handle participant calls and inquiries. This may include, but is not limited to, plan provisions, forms of annuities, beneficiary changes, bank changes, discussing benefit amounts and assisting the participant with the retirement process from start to finish.
Other Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Review submitted documents for accuracy and working with the participant to resolve any outstanding issues
Problem solving issues that are preventing payment
Creating and mailing retirement kits and other forms as needed
Returning participant calls and following up with them as needed
Emailing participants, employers and internal staff.
Researching plan provisions
Process and submit participant and employer requests using the various FIS-OMNI systems – OMNI DC/DB and Omni Pay
Maintaining associated Salesforce records and initiating Salesforce tasks and cases for the specific tasks that we handle.
Collaborate with internal teams, including retirements, Plan DeConversion and Regional Office staff to efficiently handle participant and employer requests.
Other Duties as assigned to support the overall workflow of the department

Required
Ability to handle pressure, prioritize, and multitask during a business day
Effectively manage participant requests: forwarding of forms, requesting of benefit estimate and retirement calculations via FIS workflow, preparation of retirement kits, review of forms for accuracy, follow up with internal teams and participants, confirming requests have been processed and systems updated.
Effectively manage requests from internal teams: provide audit material, request scan data, answer questions, provide clarity in procedures and requirements.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Detail oriented, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage large volume of work
Customer service oriented with strong phone skills
Well organized and ability to work independently
Ability to work flexible hours
Valid driver’s license
Preferred
Experience working in the retirement plan industry
Transactional experience, particularly in client/individual services
Knowledge of Defined Benefit Pension Plans and/or retirement plans
Active Series 6
