Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that Features are clear, concise, measurable, and marketable in support of the PES applications.
Meet scope commitments and agreed upon milestones/releases by delivering artifacts on time with quality.
Partner with Business and Development to ensure every Feature has applicable functional and non-functional requirements documented.
Supports creation and communication of product vision and product development strategies for the PES ART.
Fully understands customer needs, external environmental influences, and competitive offerings and provides key input to the Feature roadmap.
Develops minimally-marketable Features to obtain commitment during PI Planning.
Defines clear and concise acceptance criteria by leading cross-functional experts from data evaluation through to sign-off.
Provides input to the program backlog prioritization process to ensure Features are appropriately prioritized.
Supports System Architect in the development and prioritization of enablers, and the identification of constraints, guidelines, and non-functional requirements as they relate to owned Features.
Manages ART intake for supported products/solutions and creates/supports the creation of estimates when needed.
Represents the ART to external stakeholders, teams, and suppliers.
Supports Release Train Engineer in scope management, risk management, financial management, communication management, and PI Planning materials.
Drives resolution of issues related to feature delivery, escalating when appropriate.
Provides product/marketplace direction throughout the PI.
Serves as point of contact for Epic Refinement Team.

Required

BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years prior experience working on new or enhancement related application projects
3+ years experience working as a Business Analyst
Experience with Agile development (SCRUM methodology) required
Substantial experience with JIRA (managing stories, monitoring processes / reporting)
Product and benefit expertise; preferably deep understanding of Cigna's products and benefits
Familiarity with programming languages.
Ability to write business rules in a formal language.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, comprehension and application of concepts.
Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze information, determine benefits, and provide resolutions or recommendations for process improvement.
Strong, independent decision-making skills.
Ability to work successfully as an individual and within a team.
Organizational agility including the ability to foster and manage positive and influential working relationships in a matrix environment and at all levels of management.
Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor peers and partners.
Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of urgency required, including successful experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple (competing) priorities.

Preferred

Understanding of Scaled Agile preferred
SAFe Agilist or Product Owner/Product Manager Certification preferred
Understanding of Cigna’s systems and data repositories preferred
Familiarity with fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
