Responsibilities

Ensure ISO26262 requirements are met throughout the power product development phases.

Communicate and coordinate with Customer Safety Engineers.

Interpret customer safety requirements.

Develop Assumption of Use (AoU) based on system and safety architecture.

Develop and review the IC safety architectures.

Derive the Functional and Technical Safety Concepts and requirements for product (FSC, TSC, FSR, TSR).

Perform the product safety analyses (e.g. Qualitative failure mode analysis, common cause failure analysis, FMEDA, and FTA).

Define system test cases based on AoU for verification and validation of safety requirements.

Generate Functional Safety Work Products that meet ISO26262 Work Product quality requirements in accordance with Renesas development process.

Required

Knowledge of ISO26262 standards for power IC and hardware development

Experience as functional safety manager for power IC and/or hardware

Excellent knowledge of analog & digital electronic circuits

Knowledge of semiconductor IC design flows & tools (analog/digital/Mixed Signal)

Knowledge of the principles of Systems and Safety Engineering per ISO 26262

Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Spice

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Rigorous problem solving skills

Flexible & Agile

Minimum Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
