Responsibilities
Manages and Directs the Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments.
Assure airworthiness of all aircraft articles IAW approved/acceptable tech data. (Safety Sensitive)
Coordinate with the FAA and EASA on activities requiring acceptance of the Administrator. These include, but are not limited to, implementing changes to the repair station Ops Spec, Repair Station Manuals and FAA approved training Program.
Reviewing and updating of the Repair Station Manuals and Procedures to ensure compliance regulatory requirements.
Establish a monitoring system ensuring that all Federal Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Approved and Accepted Technical Data, Service Bulletins (SB’s), Service Letters (SL’s), etc. are current when requested and controlled. Make available to Operations up-to-date technical data needed for accomplishing the necessary maintenance activities.
Establish a system that maintains records of all work performed by this Repair Station in a manner easily accessible upon request.
Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory specifications.
Establishing a system for assessing, approving and maintaining the approved contracted maintenance function list and approved supplier list, as well as maintaining the expertise necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
Coordinate external audits of certificated sub-contractors annually, as well as external audits of non-certificated sub-contractors who perform maintenance on aircraft parts as necessary.
Provides oversight of maintenance vendor’s quality control activities and oversees initial and periodic on-site audits as necessary.
Provide guidance on matters pertaining to Quality Assurance, general operations, problems, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Investigate non-conformance root causes resulting from internal and external discrepancies, as well as issue corrective and/or preventive actions. QA Manager will ensure corrective and/or preventive actions are implemented and effective.
Oversees the Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment (IMTE) calibration system.
Any other duties assigned.

Required
High School diploma
Must have an A&P or be eligible to receive FAA Repairman Certificate
Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of component maintenance experience at an airline or repair station, including at least 3 years of inspection experience
Must have a thorough understanding of the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, as well as inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used to determine the quality or airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance, repair or alterations
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to read and interpret technical publications
Must be a team player and have high attention to detail
In depth knowledge and understanding of FAA and EASA regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
Understanding of business metrics and report preparation
Project Management experience
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
AS9100/ISO9001 auditor experience
