Responsibilities
Operations Management/Governance
+ Manages and oversees the day-to-day operations, coordinates priorities with external staff
+ Manages client calendar of events and projects
+ Manages allocated staff resources to ensure client deliverables are met
+ Manages all aspects of weekly staff meeting
+ Maintains insurance coverage/renewals
+ Manages District of Columbia corporate filings
+ Manages State annual reports
+ Works with outside vendors/oversees projects
+ Develops, edits and maintains documents and repo
Membership
+ Manages annual dues (renewal/retention)
+ Responsible for outreach to existing, prospective, and inactive members to determine member needs and reasons for not choosing to renew memberships
+ Onboards new members
+ Manages awards program
Financial Management
+ Reviews and analyzes financial reports
+ Presents monthly financial statement to the Treasurer/Board
+ Manages budget and forecasting
+ Manages payables and receivables
+ Monitors income and expenses
+ Maintains liaison with auditor and investment advisor
+ Ensures timely audit and tax filings due in current year
Board Management
+ Develops/coordinates necessary Board materials
+ Manages Board schedule, action items, support for external staff
+ Governance of committees and annual plan
+ Provides input at client board meetings
+ Oversees the organization governance bylaws, election, etc.
Conferences
+ Collaborates with meeting planning staff and team members on development and management of conference planning timeline
+ Manges volunteer conference planning committee in development of conference session content
+ Meets sponsorship sales targets working with existing and new sponsor contacts
+ Manages conference marketing efforts, working with a Communications Associate and Graphic Designer
+ Works with client external staff on program development
+ Manages speaker invitations, coordination and logistics

Required
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of ten years’ experience in association/non-profit management; including working with board of directors, committees and workgroups; managing multiple stakeholders
Experience leading committees/workgroups and the ability to make decisions on behalf of a client
Experience with sponsorship, membership or sales
Experience managing and implementing all aspects of a broad-spectrum project
Extremely organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple projects
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and resourceful under pressure
Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); including ability to present and speak in public
Experience staffing an exhibit booth
Outstanding customer service and ability to work with members in person, on the phone and electronically
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge in working with an email communication program (i.e. Constant Contact)
Familiarity working with a web publishing platform (i.e. WordPress or similar)
Understanding of database/association management systems
