Responsibilities
Assists in reviewing, compiling, developing and preparing budget cost estimates and justifications to support the programs and activities of the field office.
Assists with the administrative, fiscal, and support services function for the field office and provides administrative support coordination between the field office, Regional Office, and various state and agencies.
Provides guidance and assistance in personnel matters including health benefits, payroll problems, retirement information, job opportunities, step increases, awards, and training.
Assists supervisor, reviews, and monitors the rate of expenditures, making adjustments as necessary.

Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-04 in the Federal service
Successfully completed 4 years of education above high school from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university
A combination of education and experience as listed above
Proof of education: official or unofficial transcripts

Suitability for employment, as determined by background investigation
Driver's License: Selectees MAY be required to possess and maintain a valid State driver's license at all times during their tenure
Probationary Period: Selectees may be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Individuals assigned male at birth after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
Knowledge and understanding of accounting/financial procedures, reporting techniques/requirements and of accounting methods
Knowledge and understanding of procurement, property management, and contracting regulations, policies, and procedures
Knowledge of personnel (i.e., human resources) support functions to provide information, fill out and assist employees with forms, process payroll records, initiate personnel actions, and enter information into an automated system
Ability to communicate using a variety of techniques to accomplish diverse tasks relating to the administrative operation of an office
Knowledge of the specific operating programs, functions, and objectives for which advice, assistance and guidance is required
Skill in recognizing critical trends in fund expenditures and in analyzing program accounting data in order to identify in assisting in the preparation of budget data and reports
