Responsibilities

Build and maintain a scalable data platform while successfully enabling cross-department deployments.

Build pipelines for Analytics, Underwriting, and Banking Integrations teams

Develop pipelines, sync warehouse data, and optimize DB schemas and SQL queries

Work with a cross-functional team to identify the next generation of data platform and warehouse technologies and build them out

Develop and maintain various pipeline integrations interfacing with Salesforce, Plaid, Datadog, Zendesk

Ensure seamless data flow and integration between multiple systems and services

Develop file parsers and pipelines for ingesting various financial transaction data file formats from providers such as TSYS, Worldpay, and New York Fed SOFR rates

Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of ingested data

Develop RESTful web services using the Java-based Spring Boot Application Framework

Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

7+ years of proven experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining data platforms and pipelines

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java

Experience with PostgreSQL or other comparable RDBMS and data architecture principles

Experience working with Data Orchestration/Workflow platforms such as Dagster or Airflow

Knowledge of Data Build Tool (DBT), Docker, and AWS ECS

Strong understanding of data pipelines, business intelligence (BI), and data architecture

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must be willing to work onsite, 2-3 days per week

Preferred

Experience in financial services or fintech industry

Familiarity with financial transaction data and relevant file formats

Understanding of data governance and data security best practices
