Responsibilities

Designing/implementing IT Asset Management business processes.

Developing and maintaining policies, standards, processes, systems, and measurements for managing the IT Asset Portfolio.

Refining/modifying asset management policies, processes, and procedures for the benefit of all Managed Services business units.

Ensuring operational effectiveness and efficiency of the Asset Management Process.

Providing training to Managed Services team on ITAM operations.

Liaising with IT Governance team and Configuration Manager regarding joint administration of CMDB and related activities.

Optimizing asset control and inventory management processes.

Ensuring compliance with software licenses agreements and software usage.

Conducting inventories and reconciling all technology assets with current IT Asset, CMDB, and financial databases.

Creating Asset Management metrics for budget forecasting.

Producing reporting in support of budgeting activities and spend analysis.

Collecting procurement and hardware information related to Capital Projects.

Reporting on and closing Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs).

Working with Managed Services leadership to identify hardware and software to be purchased.

Participating in procurement activities and negotiations as required.

Ensuring the proper disposal of hardware and software.

Identifying opportunities for cost savings and reporting cost savings on a quarterly basis.

Researching and reporting legislation that affects the use, tracking, and reporting of assets.

Developing and maintaining positive relationships with third party vendors.

Carrying out other duties as directed by the Senior Managed Services Management.

Participating as a team member or leader in special projects as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in business or computer-related field and 3 years of experience in asset management, financial analysis and life-cycle management including tool sets OR 7 years total experience in asset management, financial analysis and life-cycle management including tools sets.

At least 3 years’ experience with the following: ServiceNow Asset Management, FinancialForce, Salesforce

Must have strong Excel skills

Strong vendor management skills

Budgeting, planning and forecasting experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to write and present proposals and technical documents

Ability to solve problems independently with proper communication to management and staff

Innovative and self-motivated to improve processes

Ability to multi-task and prioritize with great initiative and can-do attitude

Ability to grasp new technologies quickly

Must have excellent inter-personal skills, customer service skills and the ability to work independently

Preferred

ITIL Foundations Certification, a plus
