Responsibilities

Perform upgrades for Ruby and Rails: lead upgrade efforts for language and framework for key services.

Upgrade Reverb Core to Ruby 3.3 from Ruby 3.1

Upgrade other services to Ruby 3.3, as determined by manager

Upgrade other services to Rails 7.1, as determined by manager

Follow testing procedures to ensure smooth deployment of upgraded services

Migrate services to ARM architecture: complete the migration to ARM instances following the process defined by the Platform team

Update service dependencies (Docker images, etc) as needed

Follow direction of Platform team to migrate services to ARM architecture

Follow testing procedures to ensure smooth deployment of migrated services

Implement new functionality for internal tooling: help develop new features of our bespoke system which orchestrates creating developer sandboxes - stretch project

Add support for admin UIs - eg Cerebro, SidekiqUI, etc
