Responsibilities

Retrieving and distributing mail and subpoenas.
Filing documents both physically and digitally.
Ordering office and laboratory supplies.
Serving as a backup for front desk coverage and public interfacing through walk-up and phone contacts.
Assisting both internal and external customers, answering routine questions, and directing inquiries to the proper personnel.

Required

Four years of experience performing clerical duties.
OR bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field.
All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
Positions in the Police Department must meet the background standards that are appropriate to non-sworn positions.
Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

Preferred

Experience using/with: The Concur travel system, Redaction software (audio/video), Adobe Acrobat Pro, Qualtrax (database), Procurement and payment reconciling, SAP or other eProcurement systems, Data entry and electronic record keeping, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) and SharePoint.
Bi-lingual proficiency in the Spanish language.
