Responsibilities
Apply advanced analytical and mathematical techniques to make difficult policy and acquisition decisions, maximize operational effectiveness, and achieve highest quality engineering solutions.
Present results in an intuitive, actionable manner for all sponsor audiences, regardless of technical expertise.
Work independently or collaborate with a team of technical staff.
Work successfully in a hybrid environment with in-person presence.
Mentor junior staff.
Work with MITRE staff and sponsors to shape and lead projects.

Required
Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and skills in a related field
Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience
Passionate about applying operations research, statistics, and data analytics to real-world problems
Willingness to adapt and learn
Technical leader in the field of operations research
Knowledge of principles, concepts, methods, and tools for conducting operations research, statistical analysis, or data analytic studies
Experience in using tools and techniques for mathematical modeling, optimization, statistics, probability modeling, and simulation
Demonstrated ability to use at least one modern programming language (e.g., RStudio, MATLAB, Python, Java)
Demonstrated ability to use at least one simulation, optimization, or business intelligence platform (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, Stella, Simio, Arena, AnyLogic, SimPy, RSimmer, SAS, Tableau)
Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance
GPA must be listed for all degrees received within the past 3 years
Minimum of 50% hybrid on-site work
Preferred
Preference given to qualified candidates with active clearance
Experience working with/for agencies and/or departments of the US Government (e.g., FAA, DoD, DoE, DHS, Treasury, IRS)
