Responsibilities

Collaborate with Apache Superset open source community for major project proposals, code reviews, and official releases.

Build integrations of Superset within Airbnb's data platform's infrastructure.

Develop new features to enhance user workflows within Apache Superset or internally.

Engage with Airbnb's Superset users, gather feedback, and manage feature roll-out plans.

Contribute to maintaining high technical quality by identifying improvements and reviewing code and designs.

Support the team's operations through on-call support and invest in new technical areas within the analytics space.

Required

9+ years of full-time, relevant industry experience, with expertise in building backend services in Python.

Appetite for high quality code and robust systems.

Ability to drive cross functional projects or migrations - including alignment, collaboration and roll out with partner teams and users.

Passion for building interactive and delightful user experiences and engaging with users.

Preferred

Expertise with frontend development - HTML, CSS, Typescript, Javascript and modern front-end frameworks such as React is a plus.

Hands-on experience with big data technology is a plus, e.g: Flink, Airflow, Hadoop, Spark, Trino, etc.

Experience in some combination of internal application development, data infrastructure, and analytics engineering is a plus.
