Responsibilities
Design new and existing HFC and Fiber plant extensions.
Perform base drafting.
Accurately read walkout information.
Updates as-builts as construction is completed and releases the area.
Provide a complete construction build packet, which includes full design deliverables in a timely manner.
Learn new software and adapt to new technology when required.
Creates complicated fiber splicing matrixes and Lightpath circuits.
Responsible for fiber availability and determination of reinforcement requirements.
Design major plant upgrades.
Perform plant undesigns and redesigns.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects at one time with accuracy.
Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

Required
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or university and minimum five-years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Outside plan design, construction, or Geospatial Information Systems experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience with SpatialNet and AutoCAD Applications.
Intermediate understanding of cable design
Well-versed in HFC and Fiber symbology
Familiarity with telecommunications outside plant equipment, design, and construction techniques.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Ability to effectively problem-solve complicated issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate information.
