Responsibilities

Designs, develops, and documents complete sections of new machines.

Conducts prototype testing of new components, systems, and machines at PTVE and at customer sites.

Supports internal and external parts manufacturing personnel by answering questions and approving parts as necessary.

Assists in assembly of new products by explaining to or showing assembly personnel how new designs should fit together.

Assists with testing of new products, both purchased components and PTVE designed components/systems to determine how they will perform in the PTVE application.

Develops parts manuals and writes instruction manuals for design changes and new designs.

Interfaces with vendors to specify purchased parts and coordinate vendor testing of their components to simulate how they will be used in the PTVE application.

Provides guidance to PTVE assembly and test personnel on how new designs fit and function.

Provides technical support to field service personnel and customers.

Required

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 4-6 years of experience or an AAS degree with concentration on Mechanical Design and 10 years related experience.

CAD experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work well with people.

Ability to travel up to 25%

Knowledge of product line and experience in machine mechanism due to our equipment being mechanically intense.
