Responsibilities
Maintains a functional understanding of supported applications and the business environment.
Works with department leadership to design specifications for new products and initiatives.
Identifies and fixes performance issues by developing and debugging code.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex application-related issues.
Analyzes and optimizes database and application performance.
Designs and implements scalable, high-performance solutions.
Contributes to the development of data and application architecture strategies.
Creates and maintains documentation related to database and application configurations.
Assists in training and guiding junior team members.

Required
At least 7 years of experience in software development of scalable web-based and data-driven software products, an understanding of data mining techniques that drives the collection of quality data insights at every user touch point in the system
At least 5 years of work experience interacting directly with tech leadership and product management to define, deliver, and execute on multiple projects, and proficiency in the following technologies: .NET/C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, OLTP, SQL, REST, WebServices, GIT/Bitbucket
At least 5 years of work experience in Financial Technology
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role
Must be able to adjust work hours as needed, to attend meetings and provide support & guidance to teams across global locations and time zones
Preferred
A collaborative approach to working within and across teams
Excellent communication skills
Able to drive work forward in a proactive and self-directed manner
Can work on multiple priorities that span different areas of focus
Ability to think critically and resolve complex multi-faceted application issues
Comfortable providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to junior-level team members
Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change
