Responsibilities
Maintain a good understanding of all Cold Mill production processes and material flow throughout the Cold Mill
Review 'bottleneck' production lines in the Cold Mill, propose projects and solutions for productivity and quality improvements, and collaborate with various team members for project completion
Track major consumable usage and costs, analyze to reduce costs, and implement changes for cost reductions
Analyze process parameters affecting product quality, suggest improvements, and ensure documentation of process changes
Track and analyze yield loss, make recommendations to maximize yield, and address problem areas to reduce downtime and scrap
Develop and review benchmarking costs for consumables, monitor ACIS system for operations, and participate in assigned projects
Perform data analysis, communicate with floor personnel, and address hot mill problem areas to reduce downtime and scrap

Required
A degree in metallurgy or related field from an approved university/college (BS/BA)
Work experience to the level specified by the Cold Mill Operations Manager
Supervisor experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Firm grasp on the basic fundamentals of metallurgical practices
