Responsibilities
Conceptualize, preliminarily design, and provide final detailed design for new and upgraded transmission lines.
Work on material procurement and provide construction support through line energization.
Direct project team in developing design calculations, detail drawings, specifications, and other necessary documents for construction of power line facilities.
Create project scope documents, perform finite element design modeling using PLS-CADD software, design structures and foundations, develop loading, framing, foundation, and plan & profile drawing sets, create staking sheets, sag charts, and other construction exhibits, produce material and construction specifications, and perform other design tasks as required.
Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing projects, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, train and mentor design staff, ensure project quality assurance, and oversee Design Engineers, Designers, Drafters, and support staff.

Required
Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
6+ years' project and design engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization and planning skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Commitment to quality and accuracy
Advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principals
Expert regarding applicable codes, standards, and design tools
Possess basic project management execution skills
Ability to oversee and direct design personnel on a project team
Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future
Preferred
PE license
Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements
