Responsibilities
Drive engineering teams towards containment and resolution of issues raised from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events to protect the program’s schedule to start of production (SOP) and ongoing production
Maintain supplier relationships in collaboration with Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries for build events
Collaborate with engineering teams throughout Ford to leverage existing knowledge, design practices, and validation experience
Monitor work outputs and deliverables for potential systems and vehicle incompatibilities and opportunities for greater integration, velocity, and collaboration.
Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk mitigating actions are ongoing within relevant engineering teams
Set agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks
Support key decisions working cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy to reach the right conclusions
Support second or alternative sourcing of key thermal components/sub-systems

Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
5+ years of technical program management, in an engineering setting involving hardware development.
Detailed knowledge of product development process from design, development, validation and integration
Foundational background in thermal systems components and vehicle-level applications
Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with Confluence and Jira applications
An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
Undergraduate or higher Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on thermal engineering or energy systems.
Real-world product development experience using models and testing to design, validate and continuously improve a thermal system used by customers every day.
Experience with refrigeration systems (compressors, heat exchangers, valves, sensors, charge and oil management) applied to automotive products.
Experience with HVAC design (hardware, control strategies, energy flows within the cabin, glass properties).
Familiarity with battery, motor/inverter and electronics thermal/electrical systems.
Familiarity using 3D CAD software collaboratively (NX, Catia, 3DX).
