Responsibilities

Leads activities to develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems

Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system

Develops software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

Provides technical leadership for software team and project management activities

Leads development, selection, tailoring, and deployment of processes, tools, and metrics

Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations

Tracks and evaluates software team output to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards

Demonstrates creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate issues and solutions to key stakeholders

Required

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

1+ years' experience in leading Agile teams for software & systems engineering

3+ years' experience in Software Engineering utilizing technologies such as Java, C++, or Python

3+ years' experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices

3+ years' experience designing and developing software for complex systems (i.e. Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications, Client-server Architectures) and a solid foundation in computer science and software development

Experience with mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams of junior and peer engineers

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required
