Responsibilities
Design and build end-to-end data tools and products—from raw data in disparate sources to clean data models—that support the growing data processing, business intelligence, and machine learning needs
Recommend, develop, and implement best practices for performant data ingestion, testing, and governance in our data warehouse (Redshift)
Own systems that validate and guarantee data accuracy and availability
Collaborate closely with the data team and other stakeholders to enable execution of our analytics and machine learning roadmaps

Required
2-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
Proficient with SQL and proficiency with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Golang)
Comfortable with building and optimizing ETL processes with tools like dbt and Polytomic
Proven experience with AWS and their data storage, warehousing, and other related services
Preferred
Knowledge of the insurance industry is not required nor expected, but could be a nice to have
